Job description


Resorts at Chester River Manor is currently seeking respectful, positive, and hard-working individuals to join our team as Part-Time to Full-Time Environmental Services Aide. Reliability, punctuality, and positivity are key to healthily contributing to the facility’s work culture.

The position requires the ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment where multitasking is often of necessity. Supplemental work tasks may be assigned.

Duties include: Cleaning resident rooms and common areas. Dusting (from room top to bottom), vacuuming, deep cleaning, surface sanitizing, bathroom/shower cleaning, floor washing and linen changing, organizing, and other duties as assigned by the EVS Supervisor or Maintenance Director.

Physical Demands: Duties require physical stamina and mobility. Must be able to stand on feet and walk approximately 80 to 90 percent of working day. Must be capable of pushing and/or pulling, and lifting. Cleaning duties require deep knee bending and stretching. Will be exposed to cleaning and laundry chemicals on a regular basis as well as warm temperatures in laundry.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude with the ability to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.

  • Follows command and guidance of the EVS Supervisor.

  • Follow cleaning schedules and ensure all assigned areas are cleaned thoroughly.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Assist in all daily cleaning routines as needed.

  • Assist in daily laundry activities as needed.

  • Maintain the CONFIDENTIALITY of resident information to insure resident rights are protected.

  • Honor the residents’ personal and property rights.

  • Assure that appropriate caution/safety signs are properly set-up prior to performing such duties

  • Report all accident/incidents to your supervisor no matter how minor. Such occurrences must be reported in the shift during which they occur.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Attend and participate in in-service educational classes, orientation and job training programs as scheduled.

  • Compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies, as required by State and local

  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

  • Applicant must be able to communicate in English.

  • After completing all appropriate training, utilize leadership skills to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision and do so without injury to oneself or other individuals.

CORPORATE COMPLIANCE STATEMENT:

  • Personnel will familiarize themselves and comply with Health Resources Corporate Compliance Policy. Personnel will immediately report internally any compliance violation or suspected violation using the reporting mechanisms identified in the Corporate Compliance Policy.

  • The identity of personnel who report a compliance violation or suspected violation will be protected as is reasonably practical. Personnel will not be subject to any form of retaliation for reporting a violation or assisting a compliance investigation.

Note: If applying for the Floor tech position, the individual must have thorough understanding of floor maintenance equipment and procedure with the ability to operate floor machinery while using proper personal protective equipment as required.

  • Floor Techs are responsible for overall floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, dust & wet mopping, extraction) of areas that include offices, lobby entrances and exits, resident rooms, restrooms, corridors, hallways, common areas, and other public areas.
