Your mission
Own second-shift output, quality, and safety while developing a capable team and strengthening 6S and automation readiness across the line.
What you will do
- Hit daily production requirements and course-correct in real time.
- Coach, train, and develop associates; build bench strength.
- Oversee processes, confirm compliance, and standardize best practices.
- Validate PM completion quality; provide leadership sign-offs for PMs, First Piece tags, PDS, and Sintering Conditions sheets.
- Run daily quality checks and verify associates’ inspection discipline.
- Tackle safety actions and support quality, safety, setup, and automation troubleshooting.
- Support customer visits and facilitate 6S audits.
- Lead root cause analysis and countermeasures for internal and external rejections.
- Reinforce rules, processes, and policies; ensure consistent adherence.
- Prepare the department for quality, safety, and environmental audits.
- Complete required reports and approvals for cross-functional partners.
What you bring
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Experience: 5 years in manufacturing.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, or related field.
- Skills: project management, organization, and MS Office proficiency.
- Communication: strong written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
- Leadership: prioritization, coaching, mentoring, motivation, and scheduling expertise.
- Problem solving: analytical mindset; drives corrective actions.
- Professionalism: maintains confidentiality.
Working environment
- Manufacturing floor based.
- High heat exposure up to 115°, loud noise, and dirty conditions for extended periods.
Physical requirements
- Prolonged standing and walking.
- Lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Supervision
- Lead all full-time and temporary associates on the shift.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities aligned with company policy and federal/state regulations.
Schedule
- Second shift: 2:30pm–11:00pm.
