Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead training programs for employees on EHS practices, emergency response, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the facility.
- Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and manage all EHS-related documentation and reporting.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, ensuring thorough documentation and implementation of preventive measures.
- Prepare for, attend, and implement corrective actions on internal and external audits. Internal: management audits, environmental inspections, and weekly plant walk throughs. External: HCC audits, ISO 14001/45001 audits, IOSHA/IDEM inspections, Cornerstone assessments, etc.
- Stay current with industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, including OSHA and EPA guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence employees at all levels.
- Proven ability to conduct training sessions and present information effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or OSHA Outreach Instructor are a plus.

- OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)
Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
