Summary of job content: 

Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. Responsible for all aspects of electrical maintenance (including but not excluding both preventative and corrective) on all plant electrical and instrumentation equipment. 

Skills: 

·         2-year craft training program in industrial electricity (or equivalent military experience.

·         Efficient communication

·         Capable of exercising independent initiative, judgment, originality, and ingenuity.

·         Microsoft Office, IT, Databases

Experiences:

·         5-10 years in heavy equipment manufacturing environment or equivalent military experience.

Key Accountabilities:

General

·         Perform all duties in a professional, legal, and ethical manner and in accordance with the company Code of Conduct.

·         Conduct all work activities in a manner to ensure safety while maintaining acute awareness of safety and loss control goals for the plant and 

·         its colleagues.

·         Provide a positive example, and assistance to other department personnel in the performance of their duties as needed.

Maintenance

·         Maintain and troubleshoot high voltage (12.5KV) systems with 120 VDC controls.

·         Maintain and troubleshoot 480 VAC distribution systems and 480 VAC motor starter circuits.

·         Maintain and troubleshoot 120 VAC and low voltage AC/DC motor control circuits.

·         Maintain, troubleshoot, and program AC & DC variable frequency drives. 

·         Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform minor program changes for PLC’s (ladder and function block style).

·         Maintain and troubleshoot overhead cranes which include static stepless controls and wound rotor motors.

·         Maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, install, repair, and inspect all other unspecified plant electronic and instrumentation devices and equipment as needed.

·         Participate as needed in training, special committees, and cross functional investigations of incidents occurring in the plant to assist in the development of measures to avoid further occurrences.

·         Work around a variety of mobile and moving equipment safely.

·         Work in a confined space safely and accurately.
