Technical / Platform Lead
Role Overview: Technical lead for the implementation, maintenance, and transition of Client’s hardware, systems, and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a structured, zero-disruption transition of legacy systems to modern COTS platforms using phased migration, parallel operations, and data validation strategies to ensure continuity of operations and data integrity.
- Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of servers, routers, and desktop computers.
- Define and analyze requirements for the architecture, design, and development of new application enhancements.
- Lead the transition and integration from legacy systems to new COTS applications.
- Support the Client’s System Security Steward in managing the security system and annual certification renewals.
- Ensure all applications and documentation are 508 compliant.
- Cloud & Infrastructure:
- Azure IaaS & Hybrid Environments: Managing resources within Azure environments and on-prem infrastructure.
- FedRAMP & ATO: Architecting solutions to meet Authorization to Operate (ATO) standards and maintaining security via the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Modern COTS Platforms:
- Qualtrics: Managing a Tier 5 enterprise license for 11 users.
- Whisper & Microsoft Teams: Utilizing these tools for both historic and contemporary transcription workflows.
- Legacy Systems Knowledge:
- Legacy data, video, and research systems undergoing modernization
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- Proven knowledge of developing user-facing software applications for data analysis.
- Experience in architecting and developing systems that have gained an Authorization to Operate (ATO).
- Technical understanding of cloud-based solutions and FedRAMP requirements.
- Ability to provide rapid response (within 2 hours) for system outages during duty hours.
- On-site Presence: Tasks are primarily performed on-site in Hyattsville, MD, 5 days per week.
- Security Clearance: All staff must obtain a background investigation commensurate with position sensitivity (Tier 2/Public Trust Level 5 or Tier 4/Level 6).
- Training: Completion of Confidentiality Training and signing the Non-disclosure Affidavit is required within 30 days of hire.
