Position Overview

Resolvesoft is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to provide comprehensive Tier 2 and Tier 3 Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support for its portfolio of custom software applications. This role is vital in ensuring the continuous availability, stability, security, and recoverability of critical data architectures supporting the federal client.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Platform Maintenance & Tuning: Provide expert Database Administration support for all NIFA production and non-production Oracle Database and WebLogic platforms to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery: Maintain scheduled and on-demand backups for all production and selected non-production data. Uphold data safeguards and best practices to guarantee a clear recovery path and minimize data loss during disaster recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) exercises.

Target a 95% system availability rate during standard operational service hours (6:00 AM to 7:00 PM ET). Production-tier failures are top priority and may require off-hours support.
  • Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain meticulous system documentation, including database instance/schema lists, data dictionaries, maps, startup/shutdown scripts, and operational change logs.
