Job Description:
As a Mosquito Control Technician, you will be at the forefront of our mission, traveling to deliver outstanding service and build strong customer relationships. Your daily tasks will involve inspecting properties and applying treatments as well as using a backpack sprayer to manage mosquito and pest activity. This role is crucial for maintaining public health and safety in the communities we serve.
We are seeking well-groomed, courteous, and professional applicants who are enthusiastic about learning. Candidates must be flexible with their work schedule as our services are dependent on weather. Expect extended working hours of 40-50 per week during our peak season from April through September, along with potential emergency service requests.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- Able to pass a drug test and background check.
- Valid New Jersey driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be physically fit in order to carry a 60 lb. spray back on your back and work in the summer heat.
- Must Have Smart Phone capable mobile device - we use a scheduling software where an app is required.
- Customer service oriented with positive attitude.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- Self-motivated, reliable and prompt, must be able to work alone efficiently
- Good communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Professional appearance a must.
- Problem solving and time management skills are necessary.
- Ability to work in extreme heat conditions (8 hours per day).
- Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify harborage areas where pests, mosquito and ticks reside, such as: areas of standing water, property lines, gardens, environmentally sensitive areas.
- Responsible for making sure safe work practices are always performed.
- Ability to climb ladders, walking on roofs & in attics, and crawl spaces.
- Use live animal traps to safely remove wildlife.
- Provide courteous customer service and answer any questions regarding the treatment.
- Communicate to all concerned associates, office staff, and the client as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including compliance with Bite Back Tick and Mosquito Control’s.
- Maintain care, custody, and control of company vehicle, equipment, materials, supplies, and records.
- Conduct inspections and treatments for mosquito, pest, & wildlife activity.
- Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships.
- Travel to residential and commercial properties within designated areas.
- Manage scheduling and route planning efficiently.
Requirements:
- Mandatory: Valid NJ Pest Control License or willing to complete licensing course.
- Valid NJ driver’s license with clean driving and criminal records.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical ability to handle a 60lb backpack sprayer, work in confined spaces, and heights.
- Must pass pre-employment screening.
- Not afraid of heights or climbing ladder up to 2 stories high
