In close coordination with the Fleet Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the maintenance jobs, raise requisitions for required spares/stores, update the job progress status in Task Tracker excel sheets, send Daily reports.
Position Responsibilities
Up to 40% travel is required. If additional travel is required beyond the specified amount, based on the operational demand, you will be notified accordingly so arrangements can be made.

Position Responsibilities
- To maintain all the fleet assets, associated machinery including engines, winches, chain pullers, HPUs in operational condition and carry out periodic routine checks and maintenance as per the maker’s recommendation.
- To carry out the routine overhauling, planned maintenance and breakdown maintenance of our various fleet machinery.
- To ensure sufficient inventory of all consumable items including filters, V belts and other engine consumable spares.
- To assist with any other floating fleet vessel maintenance, drydock, repairs as and when needed.
- To keep shared resources updated for any machinery issues, downtime and required repairs with timeline.
- To update the weekly updates on Shared resources platform.
- Maintain fleet winches readiness above 80%.
- Safety: Maintain a high standard of safety with minimal incidents
- Marine background with at least five years of technical, hands-on experience in the marine industry, either at sea or ashore.
- Able to support dry-docking operations and floating repairs for fleet vessels, tugboats, and barges.
- Capable of assisting with repairs and maintenance of onboard machinery, including Scania engines, Detroit, John Deere, CAT, and Mitsubishi generators.
- Hands-on engineering ability to overhaul and maintain a wide range of winches, including but not limited to Skagit, Transvictory, Lantec, Promoters, and Dutch winches.
- Able to overhaul winch-related prime mover engines (e.g., CAT, Detroit) as well as HPUs, torque converter units, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, clutch diaphragms, brake bands, and other associated components.
- Capable of supporting repairs and maintenance of additional fleet machinery as needed, including gensets, chain pullers, IC engines, compressors, HPUs, and other related equipment.
- Must have strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Basic marine electrical experience required.
- Must hold certification in at least two diesel/mechanical repair disciplines.
- Willing to travel to all company locations to address mechanical system needs across barges, vessels, facilities, and project sites.
- Willing to travel regularly to company facilities in Mobile and Dutch Harbor (Alaska), as well as to partner locations.
- Willing to travel to project sites worldwide including the USA, Bahamas, South America, the Caribbean, Cyprus, India, and other locations as required.
- Able to create and update job progress reports using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
- Driver's License (highly preferred)
- Passport (highly preferred; if global deployment is required for this position, a current passport is required)
- Certificate training course from engine maker or equipment manufacturer
- Experience with Maintenance Connection software preferred, (DH4 a plus)
