What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant Financial Reporting position at Resolute?
Who You Are:
We are looking for a driven, resourceful, quick learner to serve as Director, on the Resolute's solutions team. The Director is an integral part of the team that successfully assists with turnaround projects. The position will address daily responsibilities that involve the intersection of finance and operations in a restructuring manner. Data analysis & reporting, and managing financial data accuracy skills are required. The ideal candidate will perform the analysis, due diligence and other required duties including, but not limited to; review and develop financial models, analyze financial statements, and help prepare materials to advise our current or prospective corporate clients on actual or projected situations. This role will report directly to the Managing Director.
How You Contribute:
- Analyze financial reports including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and general ledgers.
- Verify vendor invoices for payment processing; Prepare deposits; Process weekly check runs
- Review bank statements and other support documents in preparing cash flow analyses.
- Navigate and prepare accounting records within accounting software tools (i.e., QuickBooks)
- Create summary and detailed schedules outlining findings from a forensic accounting review.
- Analyze existing business deficiencies to identify potential areas for improvements
- Prepare exceptional financial modeling and spreadsheet capabilities: valuation, DCF, bookkeeping, trend analysis, budgeting and projections.
- Communicate professionally with attorneys, lenders, clients, and other professionals in both contentious and amicable situations.
- Compose technical reports and exhibits that are distributed to all parties and used in court proceedings.
- Manage multiple detailed databases containing confidential information.
- Spearhead operational management of distressed businesses in various industries
- Effectively manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
What You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field.
- Strong analytical skills with a flexible and strategic approach to problem solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.
- Proficient in Quickbooks or similar accounting platforms
- Strongly Preferred: Prior bookkeeping, accounting or Controller experience or held roles
- Preferred: Prior experience in finance, financial analysis, tax or credit analysis
