POSITION SUMMARY:
The Litigation Technician helps process legal invoices for insurance claims and makes sure payments are handled accurately and on time. This position works closely with the Direct Claims team and serves as a key point of contact for billing-related questions. Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented professionals who enjoy keeping things moving and solving problems behind the scenes; as well as those who are comfortable working with data, communicating in writing and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
DUTIES:
· Reviewing and processing legal invoices in electronic billing systems
· Entering invoice information accurately into tracking systems
· Checking invoices for key details and following specific billing guidelines
· Responding to invoice status questions from internal teams and external partners (primarily via email)
· Researching and resolving billing issues, escalating urgent items when needed
· Creating basic reports in Excel to support litigation and expense tracking
· Supporting special projects and document requests as they arise
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
· 1 years work experience in an administrative role; accounting, billing, or payment processing experience preferred.
· Comfort working in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook and Excel)
· Experience entering and maintaining data in business systems
· Strong written communication skills
· Excellent attention to detail and the ability to stay organized in a busy environment
PREFERRED QUALIFCATIONS:
· Experience with electronic billing systems.
· Working knowledge of Excel features such as sorting, filtering, basic formulas, and lookup
· Experience with tracking, organizing, and maintaining data.
