Overview
Resolute Management Group (RMG) is seeking an experienced Information Technology Consultant to provide strategic leadership and technical guidance for one of our healthcare-sector clients. The consultant will help modernize the client’s IT operations, enhance cybersecurity posture, and improve data governance and system integration practices. This position requires strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills, with the ability to align technology solutions to business objectives.
This is a hybrid role based in St. Mary’s County, Maryland, with the majority of work performed remotely and periodic on-site meetings required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic IT leadership to ensure technology investments align with the client’s organizational mission and long-term goals.
- Develop and implement an IT strategic plan focused on operational efficiency, scalability, and innovation.
- Design and institutionalize a governance framework for IT decision-making, project prioritization, and compliance oversight.
- Conduct an assessment of the client’s current IT systems, identifying opportunities for integration, automation, and modernization.
- Lead the development of a Cybersecurity Improvement Plan aligned with national standards and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Advise on data management and data warehouse strategies to improve reporting accuracy, performance tracking, and data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with leadership to strengthen risk management, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans.
- Facilitate quarterly executive reviews, biweekly progress updates, and coordinate with key stakeholders across technical and operational teams.
- Support implementation of recommendations through technical guidance, documentation, and training.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 8 years of progressive IT leadership or consulting experience, including at least 3 years in a strategic or enterprise IT role.
- Demonstrated experience in technology governance, cybersecurity oversight, and IT modernization.
- Strong understanding of system integration, data architecture, and cloud infrastructure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing IT strategy documents or executive reports.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be a U.S Citizen or Green Card Holder
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Information Systems, Technology Management, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CISSP, CISM, or ITIL.
- Experience in data analytics and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, AWS, Azure, Snowflake).
- Prior experience consulting for public health, healthcare, or local government organizations.
- Familiarity with HIPAA, NIST 800-53, and other data security and privacy standards.
