Position Summary:
The project administrator / project engineer is an integral member of the project team working under the direction of the project manager, responsible for organizing the project records, communicating relevant project information with the project team and clients to ensure good project flow.
Responsibilities:
· Assist project managers
· Issue NTP, change orders and purchase orders
· Keeping track of each project’s budget line
· Assist in bidding process
· Support project superintendent
· Preconstruction coordination.
· Manage and organize project documents
· Keep the project team and other informed about project status and issues
· Process, track and manage submittals in Procore
· Process, track and manage change orders in Procore
· Process, track and manage request for information in Procore
· Plan distribution in Procore
· Obtain documentation for project close-out and assemble binders
· Assist with Special projects as required
Requirements:
· Proven work experience in construction administration / Project engineer - minimum 1 year experience
· Understanding of construction process and trades
· Ability to plan ahead and see the big picture
· Ability to pivot between multiple challenges
· Effective problem-solving skills
· Ability to get though tuff situations with a sense of humor
· Effective time management skills
· Enhanced verbal and interpersonal communications skills
· Deadline-oriented, attention to detail, thoroughness, ability to show initiative and take responsibility
· Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
· Microsoft excel skill - competent to Expert level
· Be respectful & be flexible
· Outgoing, personable, responsible, self-motivated, and confident
· Computer skills – Microsoft word, excel, outlook, Procore-plus
· Degree in construction management or other related field a plus
