Role Description The Cardiac Monitor Technician role is a full-time remote position responsible for continuous monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms for patients under telemetry surveillance. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing live and recorded telemetry data, identifying and documenting arrhythmias and significant rhythm changes, and promptly communicating clinically relevant findings to nursing staff, physicians, and other care team members. The technician will maintain accurate records in clinical systems, verify monitor settings, troubleshoot technical issues with monitoring equipment, and escalate concerns according to established protocols. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with clinical teams to optimize monitoring practices, following safety and confidentiality standards, and supporting quality improvement initiatives related to cardiac monitoring services.
Qualifications
CCT required
- Strong proficiency in Cardiac Monitoring and Telemetry, with the ability to accurately recognize and interpret cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias.
- Foundational knowledge of Cardiology principles and Medical Terminology relevant to cardiac care.
- Effective Communication skills to relay critical information clearly and promptly to clinical teams.
- Attention to detail, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and strong documentation skills.
- Experience in a hospital telemetry unit, cardiac care setting, or remote monitoring center preferred.
- Comfort with clinical information systems, remote monitoring platforms, and basic technical troubleshooting.
- Commitment to patient safety, adherence to privacy regulations, and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
