Job Description Inventory Control Specialist
Key Responsibilities
- Assists in the creation and updating of inventory strategies for multiple sites.
- Implements and trains employees on inventory strategies that relate to their area of focus.
- Executes the cycle count program in coordination with Supply Chain, Warehousing, Manufacturing, Finance for Order Fulfilment and Production Planning functions.
- Investigate inventory variances, determines root cause, and implement corrective actions
- Perform, maintain, track and report inventory adjustment and relevant findings
- Develops standard operating procedures and business processes related to inventory control activities.
- Develops and implements robust processes to include Excess and Obsolete Inventory and actionable strategies.
- Recommends operational process improvements and develop strategies to enhance performance, systems, accuracy levels and inventory touch points
- Manages integrity of inventory data in ERP and defines and implements inventory control KPI’s and reporting dashboards
- Set inventory operational guidelines and procedures for employees to follow.
- Implements and trains employees on inventory strategies that relate to their area of focus.
- Engage and train employees on inventory related issues/discrepancies and make any corrective actions needed.
- Engage and train employees on inventory related processes with a focus on resolution of issues/discrepancies via corrective actions as needed.
- Align the demand planner, supply planner, inventory planner, and buyer in the planning and execution of the supply chain components of product strategy in support of the program goals and KPIs.
- Responsible for production entries and related systems.

Minimum Experience and Education
- High School / GED required.
- 3 years prior experience in materials management, or materials and production planning, preferably in the food or life sciences industry.
- ERP/MRP experience required with Syteline experience is a plus
