What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Associate position at Resilient Youth and Community?
As a Behavioral Health Associate in the Residential or Community Care Treatment Program, you will be responsible for working with clients to facilitate their growth towards treatment plan goals. Day or Night, 8 or 12 hour shifts available.
Major Areas of Responsibility Include:Ensuring the safety and security of clients
· Ensure that youth are always supervised
· Model appropriate behavior and social skills
· Deescalate situations and engage with youth with a therapeutic, trauma informed mindset
· Set clear boundaries and ensure rules are followed by all youth
· Complete 20 hours of annual training to develop skills to better engage with youth
· Adhere to ethics in communication and confidentiality regarding youth and their treatment
· Oversee youth constant duties and maintain the house work packet
· Follow safety procedures when transporting youth to and from the residences and when preparing food for youth
Monitoring completion of treatment goals and daily progress notes
· Support youth during day-to-day activities in multiple settings, using therapeutic interventions and the Teaching Family Model
· Complete daily documentation on youth progress toward treatment goals.
· Complete daily progress notes, weekly progress reports, and monthly progress reports on youth in the home
· Interact with youth throughout the day and teach social skills through those interactions
· Track points that are given/taken away from youth based on positive and negative behaviors
· Report to the Supervisor the youth’s problem areas and levels of achievement.
· Work with other organizations/ individuals including Probation Officers, Social Workers, parents, and Behavioral Health Clinicians to meet the needs of clients
· Relay accurate and timely information to individuals within and outside of the organization as appropriate

About the job:
On a given day, a BHA will spend time:
· Coaching youth to use rational problem solving and appropriate social skills
· Helping youth stay on task with house duties or education assignments
· Planning and facilitating recreational activities for youth
· Documenting your interventions with youth
· Making meals for the youth
· Driving youth to appointments, school, or recreational activities
Job Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Salary: $18.00-$25.00/hr DOE
