The environment includes MicroFocus Visual COBOL, IIS, MS Windows 2022 servers, .NET applications, and enterprise databases (SQL Server and Oracle).️ Daily Duties & ResponsibilitiesAnalyze Phoenix II, Web Service, and batch business applicationsLead troubleshooting and problem analysis for assigned systemsPropose solutions, code, test, and promote changesCollaborate with impacted users to ensure solutions meet requirementsProvide daily and weekly status updates to the development manager✅ Required SkillsCOBOL development with MicroFocus Visual COBOL using Visual Studio 2019/2022 under IIS on Windows Server 2022Experience with MicroFocus Visual COBOL V7, V9, or higher strongly preferredAbility to access Oracle and MS SQL Server enterprise databases from COBOLStrong SQL skills to support system functionality⭐ Preferred SkillsVisual Studio 2019 debugging and IIS configuration/setupMicrosoft Team Foundation ServerMicrosoft C# .NET application programming against RDBMS (Oracle, SQL)SQL for Oracle DBEducation & CertificationsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related discipline with 8 years of experience, OR minimum 10 years of related experienceCertifications: Not required, but Microsoft technical certifications are valued.
