Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Sales/Application Engineering. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth while ensuring that engineering solutions align with customer needs and company capabilities. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with technical expertise and leadership experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage sales team to achieve revenue and project delivery goals.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow existing accounts and acquire new customers.
- Collaborate with engineering to design solutions that meet client requirements and are feasible, scalable, and cost-effective.
- Function as a key liaison between customers, sales, and technical teams to ensure clear communication and successful project outcomes.
- Oversee the full sales cycle, from prospecting through closing and post-sale support.
- Support proposal development, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
- Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to inform business strategy.
- Establish performance metrics and KPIs.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to identify and growth opportunities within existing accounts.
- Establish annual revenue forecasts and provide quarterly updates.
- Be available to travel domestically and internationally.
- Generate business to support quarterly and yearly sales goals.
- Analyze account base, trends, and win/loss performance to assist in forecasting.
- Monitor competitive activities to assist in new products.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Ensuring the CRM system is updated and maintained.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or other engineering discipline.
- 5-10 years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, business development, account management or a hybrid leadership role.
- Proven history of driving revenue growth and managing customer relationships.
- Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Experience in a small company or entrepreneurial environment.
- Effective lead generation and pipeline management abilities.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and project management tools.
- Strong business acumen and operational awareness.
- Proven history in accomplishing organizational goals by accepting ownership.
Salary : $110,000 - $120,000
