Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Strength and Conditioning Specialist to join our team to specifically work with our youth sports performance programs. We have an immediate need to coach upwards of 20 different teams for at least 1 hr/week each. Our ideal candidate works great on a team and has a growth mindset. We're looking for someone willing to jump into our training environment with both feet, eager and ready to make a difference in our clients' lives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fitness and a strong desire to help clients achieve their goals. This role involves designing and coaching personalized workout programs, providing guidance on exercise techniques, and fostering a positive and motivating environment for clients of all ages and fitness levels. In addition to working with youth, there is an opportunity to work with our adult members in large, small, or one-on-one settings. This job will include weekday afternoons and evenings; therefore, requiring afternoon/evening availability.
Responsibilities
- Train and coach boys and girls youth groups of all ages and abilities (U10-U18)
- Develop individualized training programs for teams, and/or individuals.
- Conduct fitness assessments to evaluate clients' fitness levels.
- Provide world-class coaching, ensure safety, and effectiveness.
- Monitor client progress and adjust training programs as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized training environment.
- Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages client engagement and motivation.
- Stay updated on the latest fitness trends, techniques, and certifications.
Experience
- Previous experience as a S&C Coach, Personal Trainer, or in a related role in health clubs or gyms is preferred.
- Background in sports coaching, sports performance, teaching physical education, or childcare is highly desirable.
- Experience working with students or youth in a fitness or educational setting is advantageous.
- Strong behavior management skills to effectively engage with clients of varying backgrounds and fitness levels.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $ $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 40 per week
