What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisee In Social Work or Resident In Counseling Outpatient Private Practice: Free Supervision position at Resilience Counseling & Social Skills Center?
Resident in Counseling / Supervisee in Social Work
New Expanded Glen Allen Location | Full-Time
Resilience Counseling & Social Skills Center, LLC is excited to announce opportunities for Residents in Counseling and Supervisees in Social Work to join our team as we prepare to open our newly expanded Glen Allen, Virginia location in early 2027.
Our Glen Allen expansion will provide a significantly larger clinical space and allow us to welcome additional clinicians to our growing multidisciplinary outpatient mental health practice. Resilience currently consists of more than 80 clinicians providing outpatient mental health services across multiple Virginia locations.
We are seeking talented, motivated clinicians who are eligible or approved by the Virginia Board of Counseling to begin residency toward LPC licensure or by the Virginia Board of Social Work to begin supervised practice toward LCSW licensure.
Opportunity to Begin Before Our New Office Opens
Although clinicians hired for this expansion are anticipated to transition into our new Glen Allen office beginning in the new year, qualified candidates may have the opportunity to begin their residency/supervised clinical experience through telehealth prior to the office opening, once all applicable Virginia Board requirements and approvals have been completed.
This provides candidates with the opportunity to begin building their caseload and accumulating eligible supervised experience before transitioning into our new Glen Allen office.
Why Complete Your Residency or Supervision at Resilience?
If you are ready to transition away from community-based work, excessive driving, paying privately for supervision, or constantly worrying about maintaining enough clinical hours, Resilience offers an opportunity to develop your skills in an established outpatient practice with the infrastructure and support needed to grow toward independent licensure.
We are seeking clinicians who are passionate about providing evidence-based outpatient mental health treatment to children, adolescents, and adults. Our clinicians provide individual, family, couples, and group counseling services.
We are currently seeking full-time candidates who are interested in working with children, teens, and adults to develop a diverse caseload and well-rounded clinical experience.
Benefits & Professional Support
- 100% of the cost of licensure supervision is covered by Resilience and provided in-house
- On-site clinical supervisors approved by the applicable Virginia licensing board
- W-2 employment — not an independent contractor/1099 position
- Flexible earning options designed to meet different professional and financial goals
- Furnished professional office space
- Established administrative and clinical support infrastructure
- Electronic Medical Record system with integrated telehealth capabilities
- Monthly Clinical Case Consultation Meetings
- Professional liability insurance provided
- Health, dental, and vision insurance options available to eligible full-time employees
- 401(k) retirement plan
- Annual continuing education/CEU support
- Opportunity to build an outpatient caseload while progressing toward independent licensure
- Opportunity to grow within a large and expanding multidisciplinary behavioral health practice
Candidate Requirements
Applicants must be eligible or approved by the Virginia Board of Counseling as a Resident in Counseling or eligible or approved by the Virginia Board of Social Work as a Supervisee in Social Work.
Candidates must complete all applicable Board registration and supervision requirements before beginning to accrue supervised hours.
We are particularly interested in clinicians who want to develop experience working with a broad range of clients and who are looking for a long-term professional home where they can continue growing after obtaining independent licensure.
