Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Caregivers. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to individuals in need. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those requiring assistance.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
1. Assists in the management of team of Residential Staff including scheduling and employee management.
2. Supervises children in activities in order to observe or effect changes in their social behavior.
3. Completes shift documentation including but not limited to residential case notes, incident reports, and resident inventory.
4. Escorts children to groups, interviews, meetings, mealtimes, recreation, education activities, medical appointments, and participates in supervision and instruction.
5. Maintains age-appropriate rules and enforces the behavior management system, including the proper conduct of children during work, recreation, and education activities.
6. Administration of medication documents medication administration, as ordered.
7. Works to prevent unacceptable behavior in children or groups.
8. Maintains professional boundaries between self and residents to ensure appropriateness in the working relationship.
9. Provides crisis intervention as needed.
10. Communicates all appropriate information internally and externally to facilitate the treatment of the resident.
11. Attends training and meetings as required.
12. Teaches rules, manners, policies for interpersonal relationships, and personal care.
13. Review client files on a Periodic basis for the completeness and accuracy of residential documentation.
14. Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, policy,Greener Pastures and COA standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test.
Must submit to and pass random drug tests during employment.
Must successfully pass all background screenings as required by the state.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Behavior or health status must not present a danger to children in care.
Must be physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of performing assigned tasks and have the skills necessary to perform assigned tasks.
EDUCATION, LICENSURE AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED and at least two years of direct-care experience and at least five years of supervisory experience in a residential treatment setting working with children with emotional disorders.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
