Residential Services, Inc. (RSI) is seeking a full-time Housing Transition Counselor to support individuals with disabilities and older adults in securing stable housing. This grant-funded position is approved through June 30, 2027, with the goal of providing services that promote successful transitions into housing and prevent homelessness or institutionalization.
The schedule for this position will include Monday-Friday weekday hours with occasional evenings and weekends. The Housing Transition Counselor will provide services to individuals through virtual support and at housing sites and locations throughout Minnesota, with travel required. Access to a vehicle for travel is required, with mileage reimbursement provided.
Salary: $24.00 per hour
Qualifications
The position also helps individuals access benefits, income supports, and community resources, while educating them on tenant rights and responsibilities and supporting positive relationships with landlords and service providers. Strong communication, documentation, and advocacy skills are essential, along with a commitment to culturally responsive, person-centered service delivery. This is a temporary, grant-funded position with services approved through June 30, 2027.

Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a human services or related field, or one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities or seniors. At least one year of experience providing housing transition and support services or related experience.
- Valid driver’s license with no restrictions and a driving record that meets RSI’s insurability standards must be maintained. Access to a vehicle in good operating condition and proof of vehicle insurance.
- To pass a post-offer background check.
