We’re looking for a dependable, skilled, and hands-on Residential Grounds & Maintenance Specialist to help care for and maintain a private residence.
We need someone who takes pride in their work, notices the little things, and doesn’t need to be told every time something needs attention. This person should be comfortable handling everything from grounds and outdoor upkeep to painting, repairs, and general home maintenance.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys keeping a property looking great and running properly.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain the grounds and outdoor areas of the residence
- Handle general home maintenance and minor repairs
- Interior and exterior painting and touch-ups
- Basic drywall patching and repair
- Pressure washing and exterior cleaning
- Maintain patios, walkways, fencing, gates, and outdoor areas
- Assist with landscaping and general yard upkeep
- Handle basic repairs involving doors, hardware, shelving, fixtures, and other household items
- Keep garages, storage areas, tools, and workspaces organized
- Identify things that need repair or attention before being asked
- Assist with home improvement and seasonal projects
- Coordinate with or assist outside vendors when specialized work is needed
- Handle miscellaneous hands-on projects around the property
- Experience
- Prior outdoor work experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or horticulture is highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating lawn care equipment, power tools, irrigation systems, and landscaping machinery is essential
- Familiarity with plant identification, pesticide management, and general garden care techniques is advantageous
- Knowledge of safety protocols for outdoor work environments ensures a secure workspace for yourself and others
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions with stamina and attention to detail
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and trimming to keep outdoor areas vibrant and well-groomed
- Operate groundskeeping equipment such as lawn mowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape machinery safely and efficiently
- Maintain gardens by planting, watering, fertilizing, and identifying plants to ensure healthy growth
- Manage irrigation systems to optimize water usage and maintain lush landscapes
- Conduct tree care activities including pruning, removal, or treatment to promote safety and health
- Apply pesticides responsibly following safety protocols to control pests while protecting plants and the environment
- Install or repair hardscape features such as walkways, patios, or retaining walls as needed for property enhancement
- Follow all safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents during outdoor work activities
We want someone who is handy, observant, dependable, and takes ownership.
You should have experience with general residential maintenance, painting, basic repairs, tools, and outdoor property upkeep. You should also be comfortable working independently and moving between different types of projects throughout the day.
This is a private residence, so professionalism, discretion, respect for the home, and attention to detail are extremely important.
Pay: $700.00 - $800.00 per week
