Hardscape installer

Residential Landscape is looking for a Hardscape Installer who knows that good stone and paver work starts long before the first piece is set. Proper grade, a solid base, clean measurements, and taking the extra time to get a line right are what make an installation last.

This is a field position working on residential outdoor projects throughout the Denver area. You'll work with patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps, edging, and other built features that are part of a complete landscape project.

What You'll Work On

• Prepare and grade areas for patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps, and other hardscape installations.
• Excavate and build proper aggregate bases before setting finished materials.
• Install concrete and natural stone pavers, retaining-wall block, flagstone, edging, and related materials.
• Measure layouts, establish elevations, and maintain proper slope for drainage.
• Cut and fit stone, block, and pavers neatly around corners, curves, structures, and landscape features.
• Use compactors, masonry saws, levels, hand tools, and other construction equipment safely.
• Work from landscape drawings and measurements while making sensible adjustments when actual site conditions differ from the plan.
• Coordinate with irrigation and landscape crews so finished hardscape doesn't interfere with drainage, utilities, or planting areas.
• Keep materials organized and protect existing structures and landscaping while work is underway.
• Complete finishing work and final cleanup before the project is turned over to the homeowner.

What We're Looking For

• Previous hardscape, masonry, landscape construction, concrete, or similar installation experience is preferred.
• Experience installing pavers, retaining walls, flagstone, or outdoor stonework.
• Able to read measurements and understand basic grades, elevations, and drainage.
• Comfortable operating masonry saws, compactors, and common construction tools.
• Able to perform physical outdoor work and safely lift construction materials.
• Valid driver's license is preferred.
• Dependable, careful with finished work, and willing to correct something that isn't properly aligned or installed.
• Experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, or similar equipment is a plus.
