- Assist participants in creating and maintaining a daily schedule for household tasks and personal care routines.
- Teach and support participants in learning/re-learning household duties and life skills.
- Foster mental alertness and emotional well-being through conversation, companionship, and individualized activities.
- Accompany participants to community outings, appointments, and social events.
- Support financial independence by teaching basic money management.
- Facilitate friendships and healthy social interactions.
- Promote safety by providing training in essential safety skills.
- Provide personal care and assist with behavior management when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation.
- Complete all required paid training, including CPR and First Aid certification.
Shifts Offered
Days: Tuesday-Saturday 7AM-3PM, Sunday-Thursday 7-3
Swing: Tuesday-Saturday 3PM-11PM & Sunday-Thursday 3-11
Sleeping Graves: Tuesday-Saturday 11-7
Weekend Evening: Friday-Monday 3PM-11PM
Weekend Morning: Friday-Monday 7AM-3PM
- Genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities in leading independent, meaningful lives.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build trusting relationships.
- Ability to work collaboratively with participants, families, and team members.
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required – we provide paid training!
- Must maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times.
