We are seeking an Office Manager to join our well-established and successful residential home building company. This individual should have experience in the construction field (specifically working for a residential home builder) and ambitions to grow with increased responsibility and management. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, a positive attitude, flexibility, enthusiasm, dependability, and trustworthiness.This job offers a great opportunity for involvement with all aspects of running a small construction company. The office manager will wear many hats as this position also includes some HR and Executive Assistant functions including payroll, customer support, answering & screening calls, and serving as the go-to person for all office needs.The successful candidate will have the following:Construction experience (with a residential home builder)Experience with QuickBooks Contractor EditionExperience running complex payroll on a bi-weekly basisAbility to engage with all levels of internal staff as well as external contractorsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent sense of organization and attention to detailExcellent phone and customer service skillsResourceful and competent – ability to accomplish tasks without assistance and see tasks through to completionDependable, reliable, and punctualTrack new jobs and project statusAbility to understand, follow and transmit written and verbal instructionsAdvanced knowledge of permits, sworn statements, waivers, managing jobs, managing vendors & tradesComputer savvy with proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel and Word)Accurate Data-Entry; TypistSchedule:Monday to FridayLicense/Certification:Driver's License (Required)Ability to Commute:Shelby Township, MI 48317 (Required)
