Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise framing crews in the installation of structural framing components across multiple projects.
- Coordinate with project manager, architects, and other trades to interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately.
- Ensure all framing work adheres to safety protocols, building codes, and quality standards.
- Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and specialized machinery required for framing tasks.
- Manage daily work schedules, assign tasks effectively, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines.
- Conduct inspections of framing work for precision in rebar installation, concrete forming support structures, and overall structural integrity.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement within your team.
- Must be willing to do all phases of residential construction.
Skills
- Extensive experience in frame carpentry, masonry, roofing, siding, doors/windows, weatherproofing, and restoration projects is a must.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings related to construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of concrete forming techniques and rebar installation processes.
- Skilled in welding, plastering, trim carpentry, woodworking, and drywall finishing.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites.
- Excellent leadership skills with a focus on construction management principles and team coordination.
- Must have tool belt, framing tools, as well as the ability to jump on a project and know exactly what needs to be done regarding framing.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup, heavy lifting techniques, and safety procedures.
