Weekend Part time Caregiver Position
We are seeking to fill a part time position to an experienced and dedicated caregiver. Available shifts will be 12 hours long taking place Saturdays and Sundays. As a caregiver with us you will be responsible for basic daily routines for elderly and disabled individuals. Duties include cooking, basic cleaning, taking residents to the bathroom or changing when necessary, and dispensing medications.
Listed below is an outline of employee expectations.
- Cooking basic meals
- Taking all residents to the bathroom or changing
- Checking blood sugars
- Feeding or encouraging residents to eat
- Distributing medicine
- Meal clean up
- General cleaning, including laundry, dishes, and changing beds.
Requirements
- Able to do heavy lifting for one person transfers as needed for mobility support.
- Provide personal care assistance including grooming and dressing.
- Cooking meals based on a predetermined menu.
- Monitor residents health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols. All training and certifications will be provided.
General Overlook
- Experience working with individuals who require daily assistance is preferred.
- Provide strong caregiving skills with a focus on compassion and patience.
- A caring attitude that fosters trust and respect among residents, coworkers, and families.
- Confidence working independently.
