We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, boilers, and refrigeration equipment according to schematics and HVAC design plans
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on existing HVAC equipment to ensure peak performance
- Troubleshoot system issues using tools such as ohmmeters and diagnostic schematics, identifying root causes efficiently
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and HVAC/R (refrigeration) diagrams to guide installation and repair processes
- Perform plumbing connections and integrate refrigeration components like ammonia refrigeration systems when required
- Weld metal components or perform equipment repair tasks using appropriate tools and techniques
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during all installation and maintenance activities
- Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and reports for each project or service call
Skills
- Strong construction background with experience in property maintenance and building systems installation
- Proven service technician experience with HVAC/R systems, appliance repair, or mechanical maintenance
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans accurately
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is a plus
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in welding, boiler operation, or equipment repair
- Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC installations and repairs
- Field service experience working directly at customer sites with a focus on property upkeep and system troubleshooting
- Proficiency using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a
driver vehicle as needed - Mechanical knowledge of air conditioning units, ventilation fans, boilers, and related equipment
- Experience with HVAC/R systems including refrigeration cycles and ammonia refrigeration processes
