What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Life Coordinator position at Resident Life Ministries?
Resident Life Ministries serves residents in apartment communities (owned and managed by The Prime Company, Manhattan KS) near major universities, through the hosting of weekly community events & faith-focused small groups. This is a university-student outreach ministry with a one-bedroom apartment provided at Prime Place Stillwater--a role and housing that would best "fit" a young, single or married adult!
Res Life Coordinator (RLC) Job Description/Requirements:
1. Self-starters who love Jesus and love sharing the Gospel with others!
2. Purpose-driven individual excited to live and serve at a university-student-focused apartment located near UNL.
3. Belongs to a local church and is leading a Bible study (or with previous experience).
4. Excited to host an apartment community event each week for residents—with a focus on food & fun!
5. Comfortable hosting a weekly Bible study (investigative, for spiritual seekers) at their apartment property, open to any and all residents.
6. Able to create and maintain a Prayer Support Team, with weekly updates using Signal app.
7. Responsible to meet with the property management/site team 1-2 times monthly to discuss plans and coordinate scheduling and marketing of apartment events.
8. Committed to meet with the RLM Director 1-2 times monthly for support, accountability, and training.
9. Engaged with a mentor from their church (meeting 1-2 times monthly) who can provide spiritual guidance, personal accountability, and prayer support for the RLC.
10. Eager to meet virtually each month with The Big Team—all Coordinators from all eight sites/cities!
11. Recent college graduates will be given priority, but current students at UNL (minimum junior status through graduate students) are welcome to apply.
12. Estimated time requirement: 10-15 hours/week
13. Minimum 1-year commitment is requested, with two years preferable and ongoing service based on “fit” & performance.
Compensation:
1. Free rent and utilities in a one-bedroom apartment at https://www.primeplacestw.com/ where they live and serve. *Please note that compensation is provided in the form of free housing utilities--there is no paycheck for this job! "Payment" is the one-bedroom apartment at Prime Place Stillwater, just blocks from OSU, valued at $1100-1300/month.
2. Monthly Events budget based on number of residents & event attendance
3. Monthly Ministry budget for coffee/meals/snacks/Bible study materials for residents
4. Annual in-person Big Team Retreat for training, encouragement, and inspiration!
Pay: $1,100.00 - $1,300.00 per month
