The Position
As a Resident Canine Professional Groomer, you will provide premium grooming services within designated luxury residential buildings throughout New York City.
Unlike traditional grooming salons, our concierge model allows you to work in a more personalized, appointment-based environment, building lasting relationships with residents and their dogs.
We are looking for groomers who take pride in their craft, value exceptional customer service, and enjoy working independently.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional full-service grooming, including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and breed-specific styling.
- Deliver consistently high-quality grooming results while prioritizing the safety, comfort, and well-being of every dog.
- Provide a luxury-level customer experience through professional communication, attention to detail, and personalized service.
- Develop positive, lasting relationships with residents and their pets.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming environment.
- Maintain punctuality and professionalism throughout the workday.
- Communicate grooming recommendations, coat conditions, and pet care needs to clients.
- Represent Resident Canine with professionalism and integrity.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of professional dog grooming experience.
- Proficiency in full-service grooming, including breed-specific cuts and hand-scissoring techniques.
- Ability to groom dogs of various breeds, sizes, and coat types.
- Strong understanding of safe animal handling and grooming practices.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage grooming services efficiently.
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to travel to assigned residential buildings within NYC.
Preferred:
- Experience in luxury grooming salons, mobile grooming, or concierge pet services.
- Established portfolio showcasing previous grooming work.
- Experience working with high-end clientele.
- Professional grooming certification.
