Hotel Maintenance Engineer Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Maintenance Engineer Assistant to support the upkeep and smooth operation of our hotel facilities. This role involves assisting with maintenance tasks across various systems, ensuring safety standards, and providing excellent customer service to guests and staff. The ideal candidate will have interest in property maintenance, some familiarity with electrical and plumbing systems, is mechanically inclined, and curiosity to grow. This position offers an opportunity to develop new technical skills within a dynamic hospitality environment.

Duties

• Assist the chief engineer with routine maintenance and repairs of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems within the hotel.
• Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) inspections and repairs.
• Support hotel operations by responding promptly to maintenance requests from guests or staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and assist in maintaining a safe environment for all hotel occupants.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with common property maintenance tasks such as changing outlets, fixing/replacing plumbing, repairing walls, painting.
• Excellent analysis skills for diagnosing issues efficiently and accurately.
• Good communication skills in English; customer service orientation is desirable.
• Previous experience is advantageous but not mandatory. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks with a focus on safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment requiring technical expertise across multiple systems to ensure the hotel operates smoothly at all times.

This is an entry level position into the hotel/property maintenance. Interest in learning and growing is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
