Room Attendant

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas efficiently and thoroughly, adhering to established standards.
• Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish amenities such as towels, toiletries, and supplies.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during cleaning tasks to ensure safety and hygiene.
• Handle heavy lifting of furniture, linens, and cleaning supplies safely while following manual handling guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of storage closets, carts, and cleaning equipment to ensure operational readiness.
• Follow all safety protocols related to the use of janitorial equipment and chemicals in a commercial cleaning environment.
• Report any maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure timely resolution and guest satisfaction.
• Must be comfortable with stairs
• Must be able to lift and carry 10-15 lbs upstairs
• Must be comfortable working in an outdoors environment
• Must be available weekends and holiday

Experience

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving supplies or furniture.
• Familiarity with cleaning procedures, including the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Experience working with personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality cleanliness standards.
• Prior hotel housekeeping preferred
