Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Conduct repairs using skills in welding, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical adjustments, adhering to safety standards.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and facility diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
- Manage facilities maintenance tasks including residential painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and general upkeep.
- Operate tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical faults or system inefficiencies.
- Supervise or assist with small projects, coordinating with vendors or contractors when specialized skills or permits are required.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident or tenant concerns promptly and professionally.
- Lead or support team efforts in maintaining a safe work environment through adherence to safety protocols and proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields such as manufacturing or residential building upkeep.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams effectively.
- Skilled in welding, electrical work, plumbing repairs, and general handyman tasks.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical troubleshooting tools like ohmmeters.
- Experience with CMMS software for maintenance tracking is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
- Supervising or leadership experience is a plus for supporting team initiatives or small projects.
