What are the responsibilities and job description for the Houseperson/ Shuttle Driver position at Residence Inn by Marriott?
We are seeking a dependable and service-oriented Houseperson / Shuttle Driver to support our hotel's housekeeping operations and provide safe, reliable transportation for guests. This position plays an important role in maintaining clean, organized public areas while ensuring guests receive friendly and helpful service throughout their stay.
The ideal candidate is a team player who is comfortable balancing housekeeping responsibilities with shuttle transportation and assisting other departments as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain hotel public areas, hallways, restrooms, floors, and other assigned spaces according to hotel standards.
- Collect and remove trash and soiled linens, restock linen closets and housekeeping supplies, and maintain housekeeping carts.
- Deliver towels, linens, cribs, rollaway beds, and other requested items to guest rooms.
- Assist Room Attendants with heavy lifting, deep cleaning, and other housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Identify and report maintenance concerns, damaged items, and lost and found articles to the appropriate supervisor.
- Provide safe and reliable shuttle transportation for hotel guests as needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of the shuttle vehicle and report any maintenance concerns promptly.
- Provide friendly, professional service and respond promptly to guest requests.
- Assist other hotel departments with operational needs when shuttle services are not required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Expectations
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies, linens, and equipment as needed.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical housekeeping duties throughout the shift.
- Dependable, punctual, and flexible to meet hotel business needs.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining hotel cleanliness, safety, and service standards.
