We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Houseman to join our dynamic hospitality team. Duties

• Perform floor cleaning and floor care using appropriate equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and mops to maintain spotless surfaces throughout the hotel
• Handle cleaning tasks efficiently, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and sanitation of guest rooms, hallways, and public areas
• Safely manage chemical agents by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests
• Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks related to moving furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed
• Operate cleaning equipment effectively while maintaining safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries
• Support hotel housekeeping management by ensuring all sanitation standards are met and that cleaning schedules are followed diligently
• Respond promptly to emergency procedures related to hotel safety, including spill containment or hazardous material incidents

Experience

• Proven custodial or janitorial experience within a hospitality or industrial cleaning environment
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping operations and management practices preferred
• Experience handling cleaning chemicals safely in compliance with SDS guidelines
• Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols essential for maintaining a secure environment
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
• Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and manage manual handling tasks efficiently
• Prior experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, or industrial cleaning tools is highly desirable

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
