Hotel Assistant General Manager

Assistant General Manager Residence Inn by Marriott in Yonkers, NY, owned and managed by AAM 15 Management.

The ideal candidate will have work experience in Front Office and Housekeeping management. Leadership experience in a Marriott Select Service Branded Hotel is a plus.

Along with AGM responsibility the position is the primary department head of the Front Office.

Below are examples of the positions key responsibilities:

• Assist the General Manager in recruiting, on boarding and training of new associates.
• Support the property culture of service excellence.
• Schedule and lead the front office associates.
• Schedule and lead the food and beverage associates.
• Provide support and leadership to the Executive Housekeeper and the Housekeeping Team.
• Assist the General Manager with account payable processing.
• Actively participate in the revenue management process.
• Assist the General Manager with forecasting revenue and expenses.
• Daily property inspections.
• Ensure good communication lines between Front Office, Sales, Housekeeping and Engineering departments.
• Be an expert in Marriott Brand Standards
• Be an expert in the property PMS (Fosse)

Position Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of hotel management experience.
• Strong knowledge of Hotel Front Office operations.
• Understanding of Hotel Housekeeping operations.
• Food and Beverage experience is a plus.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Well developed leadership skills
• Hospitality or business management degree is preferred.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
