Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeepers to join the team of the brand new Residence Inn By Marriott in Traverse City! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness within the property, setting the standard for a clean and welcoming environment for guests and staff. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Open Shifts
- 9am to 5pm* (Or as rooms are finished)
- Evening Public Area (1pm to 9pm)
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, common areas, and facilities according to established standards.
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitized and free of debris.
- Utilize laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and storing linens and towels.
- Conduct tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when restocking is needed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations while performing cleaning duties.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to guest requests in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel or hospitality housekeeping is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques and custodial practices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Knowledge of housekeeping management principles is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while being an effective team player.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
