Breakfast Attendant: Residence Inn by Marriott Ocala

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of breakfast items, including hot and cold options, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, food stations, and flooring
• Remove garbage promplty and completely
• Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all food handling meets health regulations
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, toasters, coffee makers, and warming stations
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing fruits, assembling breakfast platters, and replenishing supplies
• Handle guest requests
• Provide friendly in-person customer service by greeting guests warmly, making conversation, answering questions about food items, and accommodating dietary needs or special requests
• Offer to clear tables and provide "above and beyond" friendly service
• Take inventory and maintain accurate
• Receive and unpack inventory, unload boxes
• Maintain food safety certification, allergen training, and all brand standard training
• Assist other departments including group events as needed
• Crosstrain across hotel roles for team support

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, catering, or hospitality is highly desirable
• Knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures to maintain hygiene standards
• Experience with food preparation techniques and operating kitchen equipment
• Ability to handle manual tasks such as weight handling in the workplace and processing cash transactions
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
• Familiarity with dining experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to work early mornings or flexible shifts in a fast-paced environment
