Duties
- Prepare and set up breakfast buffet stations with a variety of food items, ensuring presentation is appealing and ingredients are fresh and replenished regularly
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, assembling, and plating dishes in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area by cleaning tables, counters, equipment, and ensuring proper sanitation standards are met throughout your shift
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including toasters, coffee machines, and warming trays
- Handle food handling responsibilities with care, adhering to all food safety management protocols to prevent contamination
- Process cash transactions accurately at the breakfast service point using POS (Point of Sale) systems when applicable
- Support dietary needs by understanding dietary restrictions and accommodating special requests with professionalism and care
Skill
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety sanitizing procedures
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including weight handling in the workplace
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as coffee machines, toasters.
- Knowledge of wine or beverage service is a plus for enhancing guest experience
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly in-person approach that makes guests feel valued and appreciated
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and food industry best practices
