The Residence Inn by Marriott Downtown Boise is seeking an experienced, motivated, and service-focused Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help lead our hotel operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who is passionate about guest service, team development, and operational excellence.

As the Assistant General Manager, you will work alongside the General Manager to oversee the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance, and compliance with Marriott brand standards. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager with the overall daily operations of the hotel.
• Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, company policies, and all health and safety regulations.
• Lead and support all hotel departments to maintain exceptional guest service and operational efficiency.
• Monitor daily hotel performance, guest satisfaction, and service recovery efforts.
• Utilize Marriott FOSSE PMS and MICROS POS systems to support front office and financial operations.
• Assist with budgeting, labor management, expense control, and achieving financial goals.
• Recruit, interview, hire, train, coach, and develop team members.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented culture that promotes accountability and professional growth.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls for hotel operations.
• Ensure proper cash handling procedures and financial accountability.
• Support sales initiatives and work collaboratively with department leaders to maximize hotel performance.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure outstanding guest satisfaction.
• Assist with property inspections to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and brand presentation standards are consistently met.
• Serve as Manager on Duty as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel management experience is required.
• Prior experience as an Assistant General Manager, Front Office Manager, Operations Manager, or similar hotel leadership role preferred.
• Strong understanding of hotel operations, guest services, financial management, labor management, and team leadership.
• Experience with Marriott FOSSE PMS is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Marriott brand standards is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
