Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of public areas including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and elevators to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing to ensure a pristine appearance.
- Assist with replenishing supplies in guest areas such as towels, toiletries, and amenities to enhance guest comfort.
- Support housekeeping staff by delivering linens, cleaning supplies, and other materials as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of common areas to identify maintenance issues or safety hazards and report them promptly.
- Ensure all janitorial equipment is properly maintained and stored after use for safety and efficiency.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to create a safe environment for guests and team members.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services within hospitality or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, polishing, and carpet cleaning.
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is highly preferred for understanding guest service standards.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers or carpet extractors confidently.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Good physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout shifts.
