Duties
- Perform professional barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and grooming using tools such as straight razors and scissors.
- Utilize salon management software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and streamline daily operations.
- Apply hair coloring techniques and hair extensions to meet client preferences while educating clients on hair care and maintenance.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, sanitizing workstations, and adhering to health regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by understanding client needs, offering styling advice, and upselling complementary products or services.
- Mentor junior staff or apprentices in barbering techniques, customer communication, and salon procedures.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in hair styling, coloring, makeup application, and industry best practices to deliver innovative looks.
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with current certification to perform professional grooming services.
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on barbering, styling, coloring, and hair extensions.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation protocols and store management practices.
