The Position
The People & Operations internship will provide meaningful and educational real-world experience within the scope of an independent music publishing company. Reservoir’s objective in hosting all interns is to provide valuable preparation for a professional career in the entertainment industry. Reservoir’s internship program is a maximum 12-week, part time, paid program and students may earn college credit upon completion of the internship. This internship will run from June 1st - Aug 21st. The role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities.

The role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities.
- Supporting recruiting efforts by scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate communications, and maintaining applicant tracking records.
- Assisting with the onboarding process by preparing onboarding materials, organizing new hire documentation, and helping ensure a smooth first-day experience for employees.
- Maintaining and updating HR documentation and internal systems, ensuring accuracy, organization, and strict confidentiality of employee information.
- Supporting employee engagement initiatives and internal communications, including assisting with company events and team activities.
- Researching best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends to support the development of more efficient people operations processes and tools across the organization.
- Supporting office operations and workplace coordination by greeting visitors, managing deliveries, maintaining office supplies, and assisting with basic IT coordination in collaboration with the IT team.
- Supporting the development and optimization of internal processes to improve operational efficiency and organizational effectiveness.
- Undergraduate students enrolled in human resources, business administration, psychology, music business or a related program.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, combined with exceptional attention to detail and a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to tasks.
- Genuine interest in the music industry, combined with a positive attitude, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive approach to learning.
- Exceptional organizational skills and reliability, with the ability to take initiative and maintain a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using collaboration and virtual meeting tools such as Zoom, Teams, or Slack.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
