Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Phlebotomist located in New Orleans, LA. The Phlebotomist will collect blood samples from participants while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities include labeling and handling specimens, preparing lab materials, updating medical records with collected data, coordinating with clinical staff, and ensuring compliance with established medical guidelines.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Blood Collection and related laboratory skills
- Experience with Medical Assisting and understanding of Medical Terminology
- Knowledge and practical experience in Medicine with a focus on patient care
- Attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to maintain a sterile environment
- Caring and professional demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current phlebotomy certification and relevant medical training are highly desired
- Previous experience in clinical or research settings is a plus
