Your responsibilities will include:
Research Psychiatric Center is a 95 bed facility. We offer acute inpatient, day treatment, and community-based outpatient behavioral healthcare. We treat adolescents, adults, and senior adults for emotional disorders, mental illness, and substance abuse. Our professional staff includes psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and licensed professional counselors. You’ll prepare the surgical suite and assist during operations while collaborating with a highly skilled team that values each member’s expertise. Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and maintaining the surgical suite with instruments, supplies, and advanced equipment to ensure safe, seamless procedures
- Assisting with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while prioritizing comfort, privacy, and safety
- Scrubbing in and partnering with the surgical team by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating the team’s needs
- Monitoring patients and surgical equipment throughout procedures, responding promptly and effectively to any concerns
- Upholding sterile technique, completing room turnover efficiently, and supporting a high-performing, collaborative team environment
- Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT)
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire
- In addition to meeting the requirements of an OR Tech I position, must also be competent to perform as first scrub in three of the four following specialty areas: Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine and Vascular Surgery.
