JOB DESCRIPTION:The Division of Geriatric Psychiatry at the Nathan Kline Institute (NKI) is seeking a part-time Research Assistant to provide research and administrative support for the staff and their ongoing studies.JOB DUTIES:Subject RecruitmentCognitive AssessmentsData Entry/Data ManagementOrganize Subject Study VisitsJOB QUALIFICATIONS.Minimum Qualifications:Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree (BA/BS).Previous research experience in an academic or professional setting.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience collecting intake information, and familiarity with various rating scale.Independent, dedicated, organized, detail-oriented, and efficient; has strong time-management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; is a quick learner and flexible team player; takes initiative; enjoys interacting with the elderly population.Background Investigation/Justice Center Review Requirements:Prospective appointees will be: 1) Checked against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs. Prospective employees whose names appear on the SEL as having been found responsible for serious or repeated acts of abuse or neglect will be barred from appointment. 2) Screened against the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR).
