Regular, Part-Time (60% FTE), Limited-Term (not to exceed twelve (12) months in duration from date of hire), RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the University of Hawaii Cancer Center (UHCC), Cancer Epidemiology Program, located in Honolulu, Hawaii. Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, availability of funds, and compliance with applicable Federal/State

Assists the Principal Investigators (PIs) with conducting research for the P20 SPORE and ENDS Prevention R01 Study. Conducts literature reviews to help with research papers for journal submissions. This position will also maintain records of human subjects for interpretation of results. Assists with developing a strategic plan, evaluation of progress, process, and outcomes, and creating data-based profiles for research studies. Conducts on-site data collection in public schools on Hawaii Island. Works collaboratively with other research students, staff, and faculty to accomplish research goals.
Primary Qualifications
**EDUCATION**
Bachelors Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in Psychology, Public Health, Social Work, or other allied health discipline.
**EXPERIENCE**
One to three (1-3) years of experience performing statistical analysis on datasets and writing manuscripts
for
publication
in
peer-reviewed
scientific journals. Includes experience with public health, public administration, public policy, social work, psychology, population-based research, human subject research, community outreach or related projects.
**KNOWLEDGE**
Knowledge of study designs and statistical analysis techniques for cross sectional analyses and prevention intervention studies. Working knowledge of computers and database, spreadsheet, and word processing programs including Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word. Must be familiar with the Google Suite programs, including Google Sites, Sheets, and Forms.
**ABILITIES and SKILLS**
Ability to think critically and creatively. Possesses excellent manuscript and grant writing skills and strong communication skills. Must be able to interact and communicate effectively in a team environment, have strong organizational skills, attentiveness to details, and dependability. Post Offer/Employment Condition: Must be able to pass a post offer criminal background check. Must be able to comply with Protection of Minors policy. - MONTHLY SALARY RANGE:** $1,967.40 - $3,301.20/Mon (@60% FTE).
