Warehouse Clothing Sorter (Part-Time, Weekends Only)
Location: Rescue Mission Warehouse, Liverpool
Schedule: Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $16.30/hour

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Warehouse Clothing Sorter to help process donated clothing and household items that support our mission and retail operations.

Position Summary
The Warehouse Clothing Sorter is responsible for preparing donated merchandise for resale, recycling, salvage, or disposal. This role involves sorting, hanging, pricing, and organizing clothing and other donated items to ensure efficient processing and distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort donated clothing according to quality and resale standards
- Hang, tag, and prepare merchandise for retail sale
- Organize and process accessories and household items, including:
- Ties
- Scarves
- Hats
- Gloves
- Linens
- Assist with store delivery preparation and inventory organization
- Support recycling, salvage, and waste management processes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Perform general warehouse cleaning and housekeeping duties
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Preferred Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, retail, or clothing-related environment preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Interest in clothing, textiles, or retail merchandise
- Ability and willingness to learn new skills and processes
- Flexible and adaptable in a changing work environment
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Passion for the Rescue Mission's mission and values
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8-hour shifts)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
Additional Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to perform cleaning and housekeeping duties as part of daily responsibilities
