JOB SUMMARYResponsible for maintaining a clean, sanitized, safe and organized dining room and kitchen. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Clean dining room after each meal by wiping down tables, cleaning beverage area, sweeping and mopping dining room floor.
- Refill napkin dispensers and salt and pepper shakers.
- Maintain beverage and coffee machines.
- Operate and unload dish washer.
- Set up serving line with plates, soup bowls and salad bowls.
- Maintain a clean drain board area.
- Break up boxes that are in the receiving area and bundle them up with twine.
- Empty garbage cans.
- Put incoming stock away.
- Monitor the sanitation checklist daily to determine if there are any areas that need special cleaning.
- Use/wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times that this is necessary. Observe safe work practices at all times.
- Abide by all Mission and program policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Attend and participate in meetings and trainings as requested by supervisor.
- Maintain a professional and approachable attitude on the Mission campus.
- All other duties as requested by your supervisor.MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Genuine desire to pursue a career in Food Service
- (1) year experience working in a food service environment preferred
- ServeSafe Certificate helpful
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Clean/valid NYS Driver’s License preferredCORE COMPETENCIES
