Job Title: Residential Aide/Direct Care in our Emergency Shelter/Aftercare Program.Salary Range: $16.00
$16.25 Hourly depending on experienceJob Summary: The primary responsibility of the Residential Aide is to serve as a role model and be a spiritual mentor to men who are homeless or in recovery from an alcohol or drug addition. Will provide direct support with building educational, life and computer skills while maintaining a safe and recovery focused program.The Parker House Residential Aftercare Program is a six to nine month Christian discipleship program offering men a safe environment in which to grow spiritually while healing from addiction and other destructive behaviors.Essential Job Functions:

- Maintain the safety and security of the facility.
- Develop appropriate relationships with men to serve as a source of Godly counsel.
- Maintain appropriate boundaries with the men by upholding the regulations of the program and acting as a trusted source of support.
- Implement all practices and procedures of the programs.
- Maintain effective communication with staff members.
- Communicate crisis incidents, potential threats and other unusual incidents to supervisor.
- Maintain documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Abide by all Mission and program and safety policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Attend and participate in regular meetings and trainings as requested by your supervisor.
- Maintain a professional and approachable attitude on the Mission campus.
- All other duties as requested by your supervisor.Minimum Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- AAS Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
- Genuine desire to pursue a career in human services.
- Experience working with men in the area of recovery, homelessness and mental illness preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Clean/valid NYS Drivers License preferred.
- Enthusiastic support of our Mission Statement.Status: Part Time/Per Diem.Shifts: Varied Shifts: 8 am
